WIDTH OF THE LINE

2014

Site Specific Installation

An urban myth says that on 1967 The Green Line border between Palestine and Israel was drawn on the maps with a marker.

Due to the width of the marker’s line, the 67’ border has created a 100 meter non-space for some while being a coherent border to others.

Politics and agenda dictate the Green Line to this day. Homes of Israeli Jews in the settlements sitting on the Green Line obscuring its

existence, while Palestinian and Israeli Arab families have been brutally separated because of building of the West Bank Barrier.

Two walls, 2x2 meters, are crossing the gallery.

Sewing threads form invisible walls which create a corridor.

From inside the corridor, the walls are visible and enhance the view outwards.
